Police in Berbice continue to put a spoke in the wheels of ganja farmers with another successful eradication exercise which was conducted on Tuesday last.
The police raided operations along the upper Berbice River during which a total of 11 marijuana fields under cultivation, comprising approximately 14.5 acres, were found and destroyed.
About 25,000 plants ranging in height from three to eight feet along with five nurseries containing an estimated 30,000 seedlings, 1,000 kilograms of dried marijuana and three camps were destroyed. No one was arrested.
