Nascimento returns to head GRFU
-Replaces Adonis
Christopher ‘Kit’ Nascimento was nominated to serve as President of the Guyana Rugby Football Union when the entity held its Annual General Meeting to elect office bearers for the year 2010 recently.
Nascimento replaces outgoing President Noel Adonis, while Robin Roberts was chosen as Senior Vice-President with responsibility for Programme Development.
Lt. Colonel Lelon Saul is the Junior Vice-President and his task will be to assist in the development of the sport within the Guyana Defence Force.
The other members of the executive are: Secretary- Curtis Jacobs, Treasurer- Leonardo Butcher, Assistant Secretary / Treasurer- Nicole Nero, who is also tasked with the responsibility of Women’s Development, Publicity Officer- Roxanne Thomas-Alleyne, and Match Secretary- Col. John Lewis.
The three Committee members are: Peter Campayne, Joseph Rahaman and Neil Hopkinson. Mike McCormack is the Director of Sevens format.
