The city’s landscape will be further enhanced with the demolition of yet another old building. The latest to fall under the hammer is the eyesore that is located at the busy junction of Camp Street and North Road, which previously housed several businesses, including a bakery, hairdressing salon, a Chinese restaurant and a popular ‘watering hole’.
Yesterday a demolition crew began dismantling the building but it is not clear if the demolition was ordered by the Mayor and City Council or is the work of a private developer who intends to rebuild a new structure.
