Dem Boys Seh… Phagwah had nuff fire
El Nino spoil de Phagwah celebration. Nuff people couldn’t find water to spray one another but dem always got de innovative ones. One man find water from somewhere and was selling at $100 a bucket. As fast as one bucket empty he was able to fill another.
Dem boys seh that de water smell li’l funny but nobody ain’t tek notice. But at most places was only powder and abeer and abrack.
All de religious places dem had a notice ‘No alcoholic beverages allowed’. None ain’t been inside if you ignore wha de men had in dem stomach but all de vehicles was like moving rum shops. There was liquor of every taste and description.
Some had beer by de case and ice by de buckets. That is why some of dem get arrest. Dem boys seh that de pandit smell de liquor and know what was going on. He call de police who quick fuh tek instructions these days.
Dem don’t come when gunmen in de area or when a man beat he wife but dem does tun up quick when de politicians call. That is wha happen Monday night and dem lock up people but dem couldn’t find a charge.
Some policewoman don’t like bathe and somebody spray water and it ketch she. More people get lock up. De police station full up and this cause de police to issue instructions at Kitty not to mek any more arrests, that de lock up full up.
By de time night set in almost all de people drunk and de place was quiet. Dem boys seh that who had to create mischief did that already. Two man bun down dem house like when Hindus bun Holika. One dead inside de fire.
Then dem had de other man who kill he woman. Wha that had to do wid Phagwah nobody ain’t know.
