Dear Editor,
I refer to the article, captioned, “Sisters, 9, 8, 7, reveal shocking details of sexual molestation” (Kaieteur News, 17-02-10).
How is it possible for the parents not being aware of anything being amiss with them for so long?
Was mom and dad always at work or drunk, high or sleeping when home? Few things make me get really worked up in the news, but this takes the cake and I commend the aunt for doing what she thinks is best although now it remains to be seen just who did what. This certainly is one of the most heinous acts.
I hope the police do a thorough investigation and bring those guilty to justice though that might be asking a little too much of the Guyana Police Force.
My prayers go out to those little girls and all others like them; also thanks to you Kaieteur News for publishing these types of stories so people can know what is going on in Guyana
