Six persons were treated at the Georgetown Hospital last night for injuries they sustained when the minibus in which they were travelling, collided with a car on the Agricola Public Road.
The injured persons were in a route 31 minibus, heading home on the West Bank of Demerara ,when the accident occurred.
According to reports reaching this newspaper, the bus BLL 9347 was proceeding in a southerly direction when the car PLL 6487 came out from Brutus Street, Agricola, into the path of the bus.
The bus eventually slammed into a utility pole.
Among the injured are Debra Joseph and her daughter Takisha of 720 Westminster, Mona Prowell of Bagotville, Miriam Mohid also of Westminster, Venica Douglas of Canal Number One and Paulette Devonish of Parfait Harmonie, all on the West Bank of Demerara.
However, apart from a few cuts and bruises none of the injuries were life-threatening.
