Last Saturday, social activist, Mark Benschop, was requested to leave the Platinum Hotel Inn whilst in Bartica, because of the owner’s fear of offending politicians.
According to Benschop, after spending some time in the hotel on his computer he was asked to leave. This happened after the owner sent a message with his supervisor requesting him to leave.
He said that after meeting with the owner called Wayne, the owner said he had no personal problems with him. However, it was revealed that Wayne wanted to protect his business and not wanting to offend any PPP people or the President.
When contact was made with Platinum Hotel Inn, the proprietor was not in and no one in management was available for a comment.
