De police invite de whole media although when de same police had dem story, dem tell de media how dem couldn’t come in and cover what dem Commissioner was telling de Sergeants and dem Inspectors.
Was a nice sum de police present and at fuss de media believe that all dem police mek a contribution. Is when a retired policeman whisper that is some of de reward money from de days of Fine Man and Skinny that de media get to understand. Some of de money also come from dem drug raid. Dem boys seh that if is one thing, de police really care fuh people when dem punishing. If that wasn’t de case dem woulda keep all de money. But when all is said and done, de Guyanese people really care fuh people who suffering. Dem who got really sharing. Some of dem want carry de money to Haiti. But that is another story. Dem boys remember de time when Forbes Burnham give a man money to carry to Grenada. De man tek out some and is only when Burnham ask Maurice Bishop if he get de money and Bishop tell he how much he get that Burnham realize that he sent de money wid a thief. That thief still alive and he don’t know that dem boys know de story.
