Stag Beer League continues today with double-header
Competition in the 2009 Stag Beer sponsored First Division League on the East Bank of Demerara is set to continue this afternoon at the Grove Playfield with two matches.
Leaders Timehri Panthers (10 points) and second placed Kuru Kururu Warriors (9 points) both from 4 matches will clash in the days opening game from 13:00hrs.
This match up has all the ingredients for an explosive affair as the teams seek full points in order to strengthen their position at the top of the standings.
The Panthers are still unbeaten and will be aiming to maintain this status while the Warriors, who have lost one game to date will seek to hand the former their first loss of the League.
The other unbeaten team in the League, Grove Hi Tec with 7 points from 3 matches (2 wins) is set to tangle with Mocha Champs in the days feature encounter from 15:00hrs. Mocha is in the 6th position with a total of 4 points from 3 matches.
