They say that too much of anything is good for nothing. This held true for one rum drinker on Friday night.
The man who imbibed beyond his limits fell on the road way in the vicinity of the route 42 minibus park outside a popular night spot in the Stabroek Market environs.
After falling he immediately fell asleep unmindful of the danger he was in. Passers-by only stopped briefly to glimpse at the man who lay dangerously close to the rear wheel of a minibus.
There were attempts to revive the man. Eventually, one man opted to tempt the man to awaken from his slumber with a bottle of beer and sure enough the man sat up briefly before collapsing back into his slumber.
Later, with help from a fire service rank, a woman of unsound mind managed to get the man to stand up and he was taken out of harm’s way.
