The shootings have just started and they are not about to end. Even as the police are hunting the perpetrators people associated with the victims are conducting their own investigations with a view to exacting revenge.
In one case the police are going to be at the right place at the right time. The fallout will be hard for the very people seeking revenge.

A major accident is on the cards as a speeding motorist fails to control his vehicle. School children are going to scatter but two will be hurt and parents are going to come out in anger. That anger would turn near-deadly but for a few sane and thinking people in the crowd.
However, pain would be exacted on the driver. The legal system, though, would come in for criticism because poor investigation would allow the driver to go his merry way.

An illegal electrical connection is going to claim yet another life. People do not learn. Rather than pay for professional work they are going to be penny-pinching.
The end result is that they will spend much more—paying for a funeral.
