Gavin Todd wins RRT Golf tourney

Gavin Todd continued to be a force to be reckoned this season when he captured the RRT Enterprises Medal Play Golf tournament last Saturday as the curtains draw closer to the end of the Lusignan Golf Club’s 2009 season.
In the penultimate tournament for this year, Todd, who finished second in his flight at the recently held Guyana open championships, recorded a net 67 from a gross 85 playing off an 18 handicap to win the tournament which attracted 27 golfers.
Kasim Khan secured the runner up position with a net score of 69 from a gross 75 playing off a 6 handicap while the third position was awarded to Ayube Ali who recorded a net 71 playing off a 21 handicap.
Bolaram Deo won the Nearest to the Pin prize while Colin Ming recorded the longest putt and was awarded for his effort.
Officials of the LGC thanked RRT Enterprises of Regent Street, Bourda whose Managing Director Sean Ramrattan was on hand to present the prizes to the winners.
Ramrattan also expressed gratitude to the LGC for affording his company the opportunity to sponsor the tournament. Meanwhile, the final tournament for the year, sponsored by Grand Coastal Inn, will take place on Saturday at the same venue.
