Ground Structures Engineering Consultants Inc. on board again
With 11 days to go to the kick off of the 20th Kashif and Shanghai Football tournament and the visit of the world’s Greatest Footballer Edison Arantes do Nascimento – King Pele as the Special Guest of Honour, corporate Guyana continues to lend their support towards the success of this years’ tournament.
Mohamed’s Enterprise (ME) of 29 Lombard Street, Werk-en-Rust, Georgetown and Ground Structures Engineering Consultants Inc. (GSECI) of 212 D’Andrade Street, Newtown, Georgetown and Linden yesterday made their respective contributions.
In the case of Mohamed’s Enterprise, Managing Director Nazar Mohamed said his company’s Motto is ‘Towering above the Rest’ and they have been maintaining that standard ever since with regards to the support of the Kashif and Shanghai tournament.
Mohamed’s Enterprise made a donation of cash and 26 Replicas which will go to each member of the winning team and staff of the 20th tournament.
Managing Director Nazar Mohamed commented, “We’ve been associated with this tournament from its inception and we are closely attached to the people of Linden who have always supported my business and to whom I am very grateful.
We’ve always been closely associated with Kashif and Shanghai for many years and they are good business associates of ours.
What these guys are doing is really fantastic you know, especially in this part of the world where we are plagued by so many difficulties as it relates to drugs and crime and sports is really an important aspect of the development of human beings particularly in societies like ours.”
Aubrey ‘Shanghai’ Major expressed his Organization’s gratitude to Mohamed’s Enterprise who he said is a true friend of theirs who is always there for them through thick and thin.
Over at (GSECI) Environmental Services Manager Ndibi Schwiers disclosed that this is the 2nd year they are supporting the tournament but informed that their relationship with Kashif and Shanghai dates back to the days they were going to school.
“We are very proud of the tournament and are pleased to once again to sponsor the 4th place trophy and cash prize.”
GSECI is no stranger to supporting sports and its development in Guyana; they have sponsored Basketball in Linden and Emancipations activities in the Manchester/Lancaster/Liverpool area on the Corentyne, where he was born.
Principal of the Company Charles P. Ceres, noted that he went to University on a Bauxite Company Scholarship and this is his way of giving back to the Linden Community and Guyana by extension, something he is committed to.
“This is part of GSECI’s continuing social responsibility to Guyana and its development.”
