Forehand Connection won the premier Division ‘A’ title in the seven-week Kenneth DeAbreu Table Tennis League (KDTTL), which wrapped up Thursday night at the Malteenoes Sport Club.
The presentation ceremony for the event was held at the same venue the following day and Andrew DeAbreu, son of the late Kenneth DeAbreu, thanked the players for their attendance and commitment to tournament.
DeAbreu said that the tournament was the first that he had ever played and promised to continue his sponsorship of the event. He said that points are won and lost at the moment of anger and urged players to resist such temptation.
All the games of the competition was held at Malteenoes and Theresa Pemberton stated that it was good to see the sport return to the “home of table tennis”. She said that she is happy about that fact and wants that to continue.
Pemberton indicated that she is very impressed with the level of play and that was as a result of the consistency of the League.
