Dear Editor,
The present state of the Rosignol Post Office is deplorable. The walls are grimy, ceiling in terrible, window panes missing, just to mention a few.
Whenever it rains, you are required to perform the balancing act, while crossing a very narrow piece of board. Sometimes I feel for the elderly who go there to uplift their pensions and conduct other businesses.
I would only imagine what the state of the sanitary facilities available for the staff is like. The courteous demeanor of the staff is the only consolation that obtains on a visit there.
The rather unfortunate thing is that this has been the case for more than five years.
I implore the Chairman and board of the Post Office to give this matter their immediate attention.
In fact, the conditions at all of our post offices should be addressed, as a matter of urgency. I am certain that such a move will significantly enhance the morale of the workers.
In a day and age when there is a hue and cry about modernisation, the Rosignol Post Office, is more like an old, abandoned edifice. Ovid Schultz
