The Editor,
How low is our beloved Guyana under this administration to sink?
Freddie Kissoon is right, you cannot wallow in the gutter to respond to every thing said, or done by our Head of State, and his coterie.
I was at the Remembrance Day Parade:
1. The Chief of Staff arrives late.
2. The Commissioner of Police looked 81/2 months pregnant – what an inelegant image for our Discipline (sic) Forces
3. We had a one and a half gun salute
4. The Guard of Honour was clearly depleted
5. A young lady falls off the Kaieteur Falls and the police and army are taking their own sweet time to help find her, and believe it or not, after all of that vigorous justification for buying helicopters, we now learn that no pilot is available.
The only redeeming feature of the morning on the occasion of the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Cenotaph was the elegantly Nehru suits worn by the President, the Prime Minister and the Mayor.
Happily, the Mayor wore a light gray more appropriate for an early morning ceremony. Come on Mr. President, you have all the answers true or not.
Was our money wasted as some said earlier? Nigel Bacchus
