Festival City man found with unlicensed gun
Just after midday yesterday police arrested a Festival City man as his accomplice fled leaving him behind with an unlicensed gun and ammunitions.
Reports are that around 12:45 hours yesterday police received a tip and they went to a dam in North East La Penitence. Upon their arrival they noticed two men, who upon seeing the police, began running. One of the men managed to escape but the other was cornered.
He was searched but police came up empty handed. A .32 revolver was however found in a haversack which he was carrying.
He is in police custody assisting with investigation.
