Cancer patient dies suddenly
Jadgeo Holass, called Deo, 47, from Cromarty Corentyne, Berbice, who last weekend asked for public assistance in the sum of $856,000 to help with therapy for the cancerous growth beneath his ear, died on Sunday at the Port Mourant Hospital.
According to his wife, Drupattie, “My husband went to the hospital in good spirit at 11:00hrs and was taken to have his dressing for the cancerous growth under his ear to be done, but while it was being done he began to bleed plenty and uncontrollably. I then held him in my arms and looked at him as he slowly died, I don’t know what I will do now,” she cried.
She further stated there was nothing the nurses could have done. Holass was pronounced dead by 12:00hrs. He will be cremated at Babu John tomorrow.
Jagdeo leaves to mourn two children, Lanita Holass, 20, and Doodnauth Holass, 23, and his wife.
