Thomas United, Alpha United, Flamingo and Fruta Conquerors all registered victories in the latest action of the Georgetown Football Association Chubby round robin / knockout Under–13 competition, which continued with 5 matches last Saturday at the Tucville ground.
Carl Griffith (40th) and Kevin Andrews (57th) accounted for Thomas’ goals in their 2-0 win over Pele. Kevin Bartholomew (20th) and Keron Solomon (40th) minutes were on target for Alpha, while a defence error (31st) and Marlon Nedd (45th) for Flamingo won by similar 2-0 margins over Renaissance and Santos respectively.
Unbeaten Conquerors lone goal enroute to their 1-0 win over Riddim Squad was scored by Romelo Fraser in the 55th minute.
Meanwhile Azumah Small (14th) and Akosy Jervis (50th) netted for Camptown and Uprising respectively, both of whom are also unbeaten in their 1-1 draw.
Meanwhile, Uprising and Camptown both have 10 points each, with the former ahead on goal difference followed by Thomas United and GFC with 9 and 6 points respectively, after playing 4 matches each to occupy the top four spots in group ‘A’ ahead of advancing to the knockout stage.
In group ‘B’, Flamingo are atop of the point standing with 9 points; 1 point adrift is Conquerors in the second spot; followed by Santos and Alpha United on 7 and 6 points respectively
