GABF presents plaque to Davis
Promises stronger team next time
The Guyana Amateur Basketball Federation (GABF) presented a Plaque of Appreciation to South Carolina Lady All-Star Coach, Larry Davis Monday night when the team met at Julian’s Bar in Alberttown for simple closing social.

Presiding President of the GABF, David Patterson, in his simple remarks said his Guyana team were gracious to the Lady All-Stars and that would not obtain upon their return as a much stronger local team will be fielded then.
“We were very gracious but I want to let you know that the next time you return we will not be as gracious. We wanted you to feel welcome in Guyana and we thought beating up on you would just turn you away,” he said jokingly.
Patterson then handed over the plaque to Davis, who accepted it on behalf of his team. He said that the SC Ladies are just as qualified in coaching as himself and as a result, he wanted to share the accolade with them.
