The fires are going to continue to rage because frustrated people pay little attention to their surroundings. At the same time they are going to continue to pay very little attention to their environment.
In one case, attempts to clear the environment of unwanted garbage would lead to a fire that is going to do some damage to a homestead. This damage might have been minimized had the people not panicked.

The roads are becoming increasingly dangerous because enforcement is not as rigid as it should be. The speedsters are going to crash into a group of holiday makers returning home from an outing.
Pain and suffering would continue because there is just not enough blood to help some of the sufferers.

A miracle? Not really. A man is going to be proclaimed dead but he will resurrect. There is going to be some fear but the joy would outlast any panic.
