Greaves, who has been involved in the sport for just about one year gained her medals in the Mixed Doubles and 10 and under Divisions.
Asked to pinpoint her most memorable match during the tournament, she singled out her match against a Puerto Rican player who had taken a 2-0 lead, before she rebounded to clinch the rubber to advance to the semi-final where she lost to the eventual winner.
“Even though she was leading I told myself that I had beaten her in the teams and there was no way I was going to let her defeat me,” the young player said with a beaming smile. She said she was not worried for a moment.
Greaves disclosed that the individual bronze was what made her most happy, referring to her performance as hard work. “I worked hard for it so I’m extremely happy.”
She praised the work of the entire Team Management and her Coaches, especially Colin France, who also serves as her personal Coach.
The young player, who was accompanied by her Mom Rhonda, revealed that she is hoping to go to Trinidad and Tobago next month to compete in another tournament.
Also on her schedule are upcoming tournaments in Venezuela in October and the US Open in November.
Greaves extended thanks to A&D Drug Store and the Hanes Store for their support.
