Father held for raping daughter, 14
A forty three year old father from Sophia is presently in Police custody after allegations surfaced that he had raped his 14 year old daughter.
Kaieteur News understands that the teen was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital on Saturday by a relative, who saw the child acting strangely.
After the child was examined by the doctor, relatives were told that the teen had been sexually active.
Upon further questioning by both hospital officials and relatives, the teen alleged that she had endured years of sexual molestation by her father.
The father was promptly taken into police custody after the allegation surfaced. The father who works at a city hospital is still in police custody awaiting his day in court.
