Vasco come from behind to win latest encounter

Latest play in the UDFA/Stag B-League saw Vasco edging Coomacka United 2-1 at the Bayrock Ground.

Coomacka United took the lead in the 13^th minute through their prolific goal scorer Wheatland Thom who now ranks as one of the leading goal scorers in the league.

Vasco leveled matters in the 60^th minute thanks to a Jermaine Preston strike. Preston also sealed the winner in the 85^th minute. He joined Thom, Tony Adams of Hi Stars, and Keon Bristol of Netrockers as the leading goal scorers with three apiece.

Vasco have also moved to joint third in the league table with Hi Stars on five points.

Heading the table are Netrockers with 8 points while Peacemakers trail with 6 points.

Play continued yesterday at Bayrock Ground with Amelia’s Ward United facing Flamingo.

Today, Peacemakers match skills with Vasco and tomorrow Hi Stars square off with Coomacka United. Kick off time is 16:00hrs.
