Caribbean Airlines has presented Miss Guyana Universe 2009 Jenel Cox, yesterday, with two tickets to Jamaica and the Bahamas.
Caribbean Airlines’ General Manager Carlton Defour made the presentation and congratulated Cox on her “excellent performance” at the Miss Guyana Universe 2009 pageant held on July 4.
In a brief interview, Cox said that she is currently doing her best to represent Guyana at the Miss Universe pageant. She admitted to being a bit overweight, and emphasised that she is hitting the gym to be fit and ready for international competition.
She also said that former Miss Guyana Universe 2007, Meleesa Payne, gave her valuable tips on pageantry for which she is thankful.
Cox will be in Jamaica for one week and then will then head to Bahamas to compete with 91 other women from around the world for the Miss Universe pageant 2009 on August 23.
