Giftland OfficeMax and Digicel joined the National Schools’ Basketball Festival (NSBF) bandwagon yesterday when the two corporate giants individually contributed sponsorship to the event that will be launched on Sunday.
“We are with them as it relates to sponsoring the schools’ tournament. We are committed to the development of sports at the schools’ level,” Digicel’s Sponsorship and Events Executive, Shirwin Campbell said yesterday.
Campbell indicated that they look forward to “adding value” in the form of the promotion and they are pleased to have the opportunity to be a part of what could become one of the biggest school tournaments in recent times.

Street Solutions’ Rayad Boyce said Giftland’s contribution is solely towards the purchase of equipment: balls, nets and whistles for the event. They were to get actual equipment from Giftland OfficeMax but that did not materialise.
The NSBF is a welcomed collaborative effort between the National Sports Commission, Street Solutions, Hits and Jams Television and Next Level Entertainment.
It is expected to be held over a nine day period at the Sports Hall.
