Dear Editor,
It is sometimes mind boggling to understand decisions taken by The Guyana Police Force (GPF) and I wonder whether the government of the day sanctioned this new decision and collaborated with the force on it.
I make reference to a Kaieteur News report dated 6-24-09 and titled, “Police prepared to charge attempted suicide victims.” I honestly laugh out loud (lol) upon reading this news report, and I always thought that the seriousness of such trend needs discussing before any execution/decisions are taken. Is someone also telling me that the Religious Fraternity and Human Rights Association of Guyana have absolutely no say on this issue? T. Pemberton
