Physical fitness instructor, Sports Organiser and community activist Eli Hazel has once again arranged a community event to coincide with a significant day.
Fresh from his successful Mother’s Day 15-mile run, held from Port Mourant to New Amsterdam, Hazel has planned an eight-mile Father’s Day Walk on Father’s day (Sunday June 21) in recognition of fathers.
The event begins at 05:00 and will be held from lot 40 Stanleytown to Sandvort and back to the point of origin. Hazel, who hails from Stanley town in New Amsterdam, is an employee of GT&T.
He is a qualified and trained physical fitness instructor and the founder of the Unity for the Nation Group.
He and his manager, Jerrod Young has been organising a number of community activities including walks, runs, jogs and cycling in recognition of health, good manners, unity, youths, the elderly and a number of other events.
Participants are asked to wear white or red and white. Hazel can be contacted on telephone numbers 333-3309 or 6579557.
He is calling on all fathers to come out and participate in order to show love and appreciation.
He said that fathers and men in general must not only be seen as bullies and disciplinarians, but as people who can spread love and can still be role models.
