Man snatches security guard’s gun
Police in the city are trying to track down a man who snatched a gun from a female security guard attached to the Guyana Revenue Authority. Reports reaching this newspaper stated that the guard was on duty at the GRA VAT Office at Charlotte & Albert Streets around midday when the man walked up to her and grabbed her .32 pistol.
He then calmly walked away even as the guard raised an alarm. Police later responded but by then the man had disappeared.
