Devon Peters was yesterday remanded to prison by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton, at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
It was alleged that the accused, on May 22, had in his possession six grams of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was unrepresented.
According to Police Prosecutor Robert Clement, the accused should be remanded and a date for trial set.
The magistrate subsequently granted this application and Peters was remanded and is expected to make another court appearance on October 19.
