BUSH LOT, CORENTYNE – The Corentyne Public Road has claimed yet another life. Dead is Romain Drepaul.
About 00:30 hours yesterday minibus, BHH 3711, owned and driven at the time by Romain Drepaul was heading west towards New Amsterdam when it collided with a donkey.
Drepaul then lost control of the bus and slammed in to a lorry, GHH 1156 that was parked on the southern parapet of the public road.
The 37-year-old man of Lot 7 Section ‘A’ Lancaster, Corentyne was picked up in an unconscious state and taken to the New Amsterdam Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
