Women among three held in ganja bust
A man described as a regular offender and his sister are among three persons in custody following the discovery of 65 grams of cannabis in a house at Betsy Ground, East Canje.
Kaieteur News understands that police were responding to a report of larceny at a Betsy Ground house when they noticed suspicious movement at the house next door.
They decided to investigate and reportedly found the ganja stacked in a bucket in the house.
The male and female occupants, who are siblings, were detained, along with a third female.
The male suspect was recently granted bail on another offence. It is expected that charges would be laid shortly.
