Man blown off truck, dies

A 19 year-old, who was identified as Ravi Harripersaud, lost his life yesterday after he was blown from the back of a truck in the vicinity of Bath Settlement, West Coast Berbice.
Reports are that Ravi was seated on some sheets of plywood aback a truck heading to Rosignol, West Coast Berbice when tragedy struck.
His relatives said that the man who recently got married, was literally blown off when a gust of wind lifted the sheet of plywood and turned it into a sailplane, with Ravi sitting atop of it.
A neighbour reported that when he plummeted to the ground, Ravi sustained severe head injuries.
