Dear Editor,
I read with amazement and disbelief that the Government is taking to Parliament a Bill for former presidents.
That in reality translates to a member of the PPP.
I believe and all citizens would agree that people who held high public office should be given certain privileges and be allowed to live the rest of their lives in some amount of comfort and stress free.
This is quite different from the lawlessness proposed in the Bill, which would make a former PPP President a super citizen.
This Bill is much too self-centered. It has ignored other high functionaries who gave service before, such as former Vice Presidents, Prime Ministers, Chancellors, etc.
This Bill should consider all such citizens who served at high political levels, so they could live with some decency and dignity. Nigel Bacchus
