Officials from the organisation responsible for the LinWest Track and Field Games, the Guyana New York Sports Association, have arrived in Guyana to continue planning for the event with the Local Organising Committee.
General Secretary of the Athletics Association of Guyana, Claude Blackmore informed Kaieteur Sport via press release that Secretary of the organisation, Burchfield Moore and Treasurer, John Nelson are in Guyana.
According to Blackmore, the President of the association, Richard Thompson is expected here Friday morning for the event that is set for the Enmore Community Centre Ground, home of defending champions, East Coast.
The competition is scheduled for a 10am start on Sunday with teams including, Linden, West Demerara, East Bank, East Coast and debutants, West Berbice and East Berbice vying for top honours and a year’s bragging rights.
