Youth shot in gun trap

A 23-year-old Onderneeming, Sand Pitt youth is a patient at the Suddie Public Hospital, nursing a gunshot wound to his right ankle.
It is believed that Lennox Patterson was shot after he ventured into a creek for a bath, at around 5.30am yesterday. The creek, he said, is some miles away from his home.
He said that he went into a nearby bush to answer the call of nature, when he heard a loud explosion and felt a burning sensation. Patterson was assisted by a pastor, who hired a car and took him to the hospital.
Patterson told police that he later noticed a gun trap, which the officers have since retrieved.
