Showstopper play Den Amstel, Showtime tests Goed Fortuin

The Annual Unity Cup football competition is now down to the final four and the West Demerara Secondary School ground will be buzzing with action this evening.
Clashing for a place in the final and a chance to win the top prize of $120,000 are Showstopper who will be seeking to prevent Den Amstel advancing in one of two semi finals.
Goed Fortuin will challenge Showtime in the other and fans are reminded that rivalry starts at 19:00hrs according to Rodney Nelson, lead spokesperson of the organisers, Youth Productions, a West Demerara based group.
Nelson informed that a total of eighteen teams started the 9 a-side tournament and so far they have witnessed some exciting encounters with the top four teams advancing.
Matches are of one hour duration and Nelson said they are very grateful to a number of entities for their tangible support.

The final and third place games will be played on Sunday evening at the same venue.
