Dear Editor,
Humphrey Charles continues in his efforts to rehash and peddle PNC propaganda in his letters, as in the one yesterday (18/3/09) in Kaieteur News, which sounds very much like PNCR press conferences and certain columnists.
If anybody is exposed, it is Donald Isaacs and himself and their incapacity to face up to and deal with the dark and lamentable record of the PNC’s undemocratic, authoritarian, corrupt and dictatorial regime and no amount of “questions” can distract the minds of most of the public.
I said in my letter that the PPP/C has nothing to hide and is fully open to scrutiny, and this is quite obvious.
It will take more than 17 years to counteract, repair and recover from the harm and damage done by the PNC regime of 28 years plus their destructive actions during the 17 years of the PPP/C administration – a total of 45 years. As everybody knows they did much harm with their ‘peaceful’ street marches and attempts to “make the country ungovernable,” and with their “slow fire/more fire.”
Many of the matters, in Charles’ letter, have been dealt with already, or are presently being debated in the public domain and others are without foundation, outright lies, rumours and wild speculation.
Some people enjoy “berating Freddie Kissoon”; he doesn’t mind as he is able to write and sell more articles.
Why the reluctance to file particulars of income and assets by the PNC with the Integrity Commission?
The PPP/C parliamentarians have already done so. Let the truth be told.
