Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Charles Chapman, called ‘Frenchy’, who is the prime suspect in the murder of his reputed wife Savitrie Arjune.
The 34-year-old woman was stabbed to death last Thursday in Rum Shop Street, Herstelling, East Bank Demerara.
It is alleged that Chapman, after killing his estranged reputed wife, drove away in a minibus which he later abandoned.

Following the act Chapman, called ‘Frenchy’, admitted in telephone conversations with Kaieteur News that he had committed the act.
Police said that he has also been sending death threats to the victim’s family. He last contacted Kaieteur News on his mobile phone at around 23:00 hrs on Thursday.
Police believe that Chapman, a former soldier and seaman, might be making efforts to slip out of the country.
