Street lights need fixing
Dear Editor,
On behalf of the residents of Brittania to No. 30 Village, West Coast, Berbice, I appeal to the powers that be to fix the street lights which have been out of order for more than six months.
On another note, I feel strongly that street lights should be placed in every village in Region Five. The present number of lights, installed in selective villages, is adequate to achieve this end if they are placed farther apart.
Such a move will not only bring some degree of comfort to those who still languish in perennial darkness, but will certainly diffuse enduring feelings of practiced discrimination.
