Ten netballers called up by GNA
The Guyana Netball Association (GNA) recently selected ten (10) players to participate in this year’s Jean Pierre Caribbean 16 and under Championship which is slated to be staged in Jamaica from April 22-30.
Those named are: Shonette Estwick (Captain), Tiffany Estwick, Tessa Trim, Simonica Fanfair, Joy-Ann Blair, Alisha Nedd, Christine Samuels, Semona Hopkinson, Tasnica Lovell and Shameza Subrattie.
The Coach of the squad is Lawrence Kellman; Manager and Assistant Coach- Shondel Samaroo, while Dr. Maxine Parris-Aaron, who is the 2nd Vice-President of the Caribbean Netball Association, will also travel with the team.
Meanwhile, the team which has been practicing for the past two years will continue sessions at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall tomorrow.
According to President of the GNA Dr. Parris-Aaron training sessions will intensify as they draw closer to departure.
