The Guyanese trio of Luke Latiff, Kellon Carmichael and Jamal Hinkson were among the leading performers for Sweet Revenge (SR) against Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force (TTDF) in the first round of the Trinidad championship league Two-Day cricket competition over the weekend.

Sweet Revenge won the toss and TTDF were bowled out for 166 just before tea on the first day after they were invited to bat first as Sarran Conia grabbed 4-62.
Former Berbice Inter-County medium pacer Luke Latiff, who is now a resident of the Twin Island Republic, took 2-19 while former Guyana under-19 all-rounder Kellon Carmichael had 2-25.

Sweet Revenge replied with 192-3 by lunch on the second day before rain washed out the rest of the match.
Guyanese Jamal Hinckson stroked six fours in an attractive unbeaten 82 and got support from Carmichael who was unbeaten on 20 when rain halted the contest.
Meanwhile, Rousillac United (RU) beat and Dow Sports Club (DSC) by four wickets in the Carib 20/20 tournament as the Guyanese pair of Elton Baker and Travis Blyden again contributed with both bat and ball as RU advanced to the Quarter –finals of the nation-wide tournament.

DSC made 136-6 in 20 overs with Nigel Ferreira making 45 and Daniel Khan 33. Elton Baker took 3-18 while Travis Blyden had 2-30.
RU then made 140-6 in 19.2 overs with Blyden slamming 51 from 59 balls and Baker 39 not out from 54 balls. Baker was named Man-of-the-Match.
