Come on, Mr. Minister
Dear Editor,
Minister Benn, I do hope you learn an essential rule of life sooner rather than later because you would never be a good Minister or at least one that is appreciated.
The rule is “When people work they have to be paid”. Work without pay is charity or slavery…I wonder which one you have in mind.
Minister, you had payment problems in the Bauxite Company, GGMC and now the Ministry of Work. Leave paying to others if it makes you unhappy.
Carefully managing money is good but you have now gone so far it seems like you are a hinderer of progress.
The sooner you recognise that those who fall under your ministry are not sales girls and boys who can be easily replaced, the sooner you should give them their due.
Please do it soon for the country’s sake because it can really have a negative impact on airlines and our image as Guyanese.
