Miner electrocuted at Cuyuni
Police are scouring the Cuyuni River for the body of 29-year-old Trevor Kooseram, a miner who was electrocuted last Wednesday while working on a dredge.
A police statement said that Kooseram was on the dredge, at around 14: 20 hrs, when he switched on a generator and accidentally came into contact with an electrical wire.
He was electrocuted and fell into the river.
Efforts are being made to recover the body.
