On Thursday, Yan Lickerish, 38, of 96 Grove Public Road, East Bank Demerara, appeared before acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson on a charge of unlawful assault, causing bodily harm.
It is alleged that, on December 18 last, the defendant unlawfully assaulted Ray Blackman.
He pleaded not guilty to the offence.
Lickerish, a conductor at the route 42 bus park, stated that he was also assaulted by the complainant.
‘He broadsided my upper back.’ Lickerish stated.
Magistrate Robertson placed the defendant on $7,000 bail and ordered him to return to court on February 10.
