Farmer murdered during drinking spree
A 38-year-old farmer was beaten to death at around 20:00hrs on Monday night during a drinking spree at Kaimatta, North Rupununi .
Police said that Augustine and another man were consuming alcohol when an argument broke out.
Augustine was reportedly struck on the head with a piece of wood and succumbed from the injury.
Police ranks have been dispatched to the area.
