More intervention needed, Mr. Minister
Dear Editor,
Special thanks to Minister Manniram Prashad for intervening with the Parika Speed Boat Association concerning the fare from Parika to Supenaam. The fare has now dropped from $1200 to $1100.
However this new fare is still considered high compared with the cost of gasoline which is at $555.00 per gallon. The fare was once $1,000 when gasoline was selling at $900 plus per gallon.
Can the minister please try to negotiate with the speed boat association to get this fare back to $1,000, so that the commuters can benefit from cheap fuel price?
