DEAR EDITOR,
PNCR Executive Member Mr. Aubrey Norton has the appearance of a President as reflected in his striking and charismatic press photos in 28th and 30th Kaieteur News 2008 respectively. Impeccably dressed in suit, he beamed a wily and witty smile.
He is boldly outspoken on critical issues and moots sound recommendations, solutions and suggestions, in contrast to others in the PNCR hierarchy who are mealy-mouthed on crucial problems. The sharp, solid punches Aubrey Norton throws reminds me of the ones Ken Norton threw at Muhammad Ali and broke his jaw. Some of his opinions, views, etc., impact heavily.
My political evaluation of Mr. Norton is that he has the clear potential to be a presidential candidate or nominee. In coming national elections, the PNCR should allow him a shot at the presidency. This rising star could leap from Executive Member to Executive President of Guyana.
