The season for sharing and goodwill to people everywhere is here, and Christmas is a time that brings out the best in everyone.
Telecommunications giant Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GT&T), acknowledging this festive season, is giving back to its many customers like never before.
Yesterday, with a gala ceremony hosted at Duke’s Lodge in Kingston, Georgetown, the telecommunications entity officially launched its Christmas bonanza full of cash, gifts and cool services in promotions throughout December 2008.
Whether it is the ‘Call Home Guyana’ cards, ‘Top Up and Watch’, or their ‘Cash Cube’, GT&T will be assuring many of its customers receive a very merry Christmas, as stated by officials yesterday.
To open the gala affair, GT&T’s endorsees Timeka Marshall, Celeste David, Edward Neblett and the First Born Group executed a splendid rendition of the promotions theme song, ‘A look like Christmas,’ to the delight of the sizeable gathering. Host Wanita Huburn created the glitz and obvious festivity that surrounded yesterday’s promotion launch.
Addressing the invitees, GT&T’s Director of Marketing, Wystan Robertson, said that the promotion marked a new era in which his company is making money ‘easy to come by’ for customers and supporters.
The Marketing Director said that the year has been challenging, with increases of sophisticated communication methods coming into the country, and increases of bypass traffic, but he noted that GT&T was inspired to produce an ingenious solution to ensure that its communication services remain of the highest quality.
According to Robertson, 12 persons will win televised game shows; another 12, flat screen televisions, game consoles, DVD camcorders and tons of free credit, among other items.
Emphasizing that “the Blue Santa has got a brand new bag”, the Marketing Director concluded by urging those present to “stop dreaming, to wake up grab the millions’.
