Satro and Rebel have qualified for the final of the P&P Insurance Brokers 40 overs cricket competition in Leguan after recording victories in the latest round of matches played last Saturday.
At Whyte’s Park, Satro defeated Blenheim by 128 runs. Satro batted first and made 174 all out in 39.4 overs. Shazaad Razack top scored with 64 and T. Whyte supported with 33 as R. Latchman grabbed 4 – 45, while Faizal Mohamed and Hemraj Persaud took two for 20 and 22 respectively.
Blenheim in reply were bowled out for 46 in 14 overs. R. Chowtie and Trevor Whyte bagged three wickets apiece while Shazaad Razack and Zaheer Razack supported with two each.
At Dennison Park, Rebel overcame Falcons by 58 runs. Rebel took first strike and made 204 all out off their allotted 40 overs. Sean Jattan scored 56 while Brian Roopchand took 3 – 40 for Falcons, who in reply were skittled out 146.
The final will be played on Sunday at Whyte’s Park. (Zaheer Mohamed)
